| MATZO MEAL BALLS |

Makes 18 balls1 egg 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg 1/3 cup CRISCOŽ all-vegetable shortening or 1/3 CRISCO Stick 2 tablespoons hot water or broth 2/3 cup matzo meal Beat the egg slightly. Add the salt, nutmeg, water. Melt the Crisco and add to the egg. Stir in the matzo meal and form balls. These may be cooked immediately in salted boiling water or in soup or kept cold until wanted and then cooked. Boil 20 minutes. |
