4-6 servings1-1/2 pounds baking potatoes (about 4 medium), peeled and shredded 2 tablespoons grated onion 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 3 tablespoons Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 3 tablespoons Butter Flavor Crisco stick Rinse and drain potatoes thoroughly. In medium mixing bowl combine potatoes, onion, salt and pepper. Mix well. In large skillet melt Butter Flavor Crisco. Add potatoes; spread evenly in pan. Cook over medium-high heat for 13 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown and tender, turning potatoes with spatula after half the time. |
