Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 10 minutes 4 servings3 tablespoons CRISCO all-vegetable shortening or 3 tablespoons CRISCO Stick 1 pound beef sirloin, cut in thin strips 1 medium onion, thinly sliced 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 can (10-1/2 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup 3/4 cup sour cream 1 4-ounce can sliced mushrooms, with liquid 2 tablespoons ketchup 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce Poppy Noodles 4 cups hot cooked noodles 1 tablespoon butter 1 teaspoon poppy seed Optional garnish: fresh parsley, finely minced In skillet over medium high heat, melt Crisco shortening. Add meat strips; onion and garlic; cook until onion is crisp-tender, about 6 minutes. Combine soup, sour cream, mushrooms, ketchup, and Worcestershire; pour over meat. Cook and stir over low heat until hot and bubbly, about 3 minutes. For Poppy Seed Noodles, toss 4 cups hot cooked noodles with butter and poppy seed. To serve: spoon meat mixture over poppy seed noodles; garnish with chopped parsley. Serve immediately. |
