| OVEN-FRIED CHICKEN |

4 to 6 Servings1 cup corn flake crumbs 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes 3/4 teaspoon garlic salt 1/2 teaspoon dried basil leaves 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1/8 teaspoon pepper 2-1/2 to 3 pounds broiler-fryer chicken, cut up 1/2 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO, melted Preheat oven to 400ºF. In shallow bowl mix corn flake crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, garlic salt, basil, oregano and pepper. Dip chicken pieces in melted Butter Flavor Crisco, then in crumb mixture, pressing lightly to coat. Place skin side up in 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake, uncovered, at 400ºF for 45 to 50 minutes, or until coating is golden brown and chicken near bone is no longer pink. |
