Serves 41 whole chicken, cut up (about 2-1/2 pounds) 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup water 2 tablespoons CRISCO Oil 2 tablespoons Asian sesame oil 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons crushed sesame seeds 2 scallions or green onions, chopped (about 2 tablespoons) 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 teaspoon chopped fresh ginger Rinse chicken; pat dry. Combine soy sauce, water, oil, sesame oil, honey, sesame seeds, green onions, garlic and ginger in large resealable plastic food storage bag. Place chicken in bag. Seal. Refrigerate 4 hours or longer, turning once or twice. Heat oven to 350ºF. Pour 1/2 cup marinade into 13 x 9 x 2-inch glass baking dish. Add chicken. Discard remaining marinade. Bake for 35 minutes or until no longer pink in center. Do not overbake. |
