| ITALIAN MEAT LOAF |

4 to 6 servings2 tablespoons Butter Flavor CRISCO 1/3 cup chopped onion 1/4 cup chopped celery 1/4 cup chopped green pepper 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning, divided 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1-1/2 pounds ground beef 1 slice soft white bread, torn into small pieces 1/4 cup milk 1 egg 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup catsup Preheat oven to 350ºF In small skillet melt Butter Flavor Crisco. Add onion, celery, green pepper, 1-1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning and garlic powder. Cook and stir over medium heat until tender. In medium mixing bowl crumble beef. Add onion mixture, bread pieces, milk, egg, salt and pepper. Mix well. Press into 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Combine catsup and remaining 1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning. Spread over top of loaf. Bake at 350ºF for 1 to 1-1/4 hours, or until set. |
