| BROILED WHITEFISH ALMONDINE |

4 servings1 lb. whitefish (or other fish) fillets 1 tablespoon Butter Flavor CRISCO, melted Salt and pepper, if desired 2 tablespoons sliced or slivered almonds 2 tablespoons Butter Flavor CRISCO 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley Place fish on greased broiler pan; brush with melted Butter Flavor Crisco. Place fish about 4 inches from heat source; broil 5 minutes. Turn, brush with remaining melted shortening, and broil about 4 minutes longer or until fish flakes easily when tested with fork. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. While fish cooks, heat almonds in the 2 tablespoons shortening until toasted. Stir in lemon juice and parsley. Spoon over fish. |
