Preparation time: 5 minutes Total time: 5 minutes 1 cup1/4 cup red or white wine vinegar 1 tablespoon chopped pimento, drained 2 teaspoons jarred minced garlic (or 1 large garlic clove, peeled and minced) 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves 1 teaspoon granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper 3/4 cup CRISCO Oil 1 can (8 ounces) chick peas, drained and rinsed Salad greens, rinsed and torn into bite-sized pieces Combine vinegar, pimento, garlic, oregano, sugar, salt and pepper in jar with tight-fitting lid. Shake well. Add Crisco Oil. Shake well again. Marinate chick peas in 1/2 cup dressing for 15 minutes. Toss with salad greens. Add extra dressing as needed. Use your favorite Crisco Oil product. |
