THE DEFINITIVE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE Print E-mail
Makes about 5 Dozen Cookies

1 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO
3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup butterscotch chips
1/2 cup pecans chopped
1/3 cup flake coconut (optional)


Heat oven to 375ºF.
Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts and coconut. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 375ºF for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove immediately to cooling rack.
