STREUSEL PEANUT BUTTER BARS Print E-mail
Makes 32 Bars

Base
1/2 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO
1 -1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 cup Jif Creamy or Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 -1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup milk
Streusel Topping
3 tablespoons Butter Flavor CRISCO
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon Jif Creamy or Extra Crunchy Peanut Butter
1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts


Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with Butter Flavor Crisco.
For base, combine Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar and Jif Peanut Butter in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Combine flour and salt. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture at low speed. Beat until well blended. Spread in pan.
For topping, combine Butter Flavor Crisco, flour, sugar and Jif Peanut Butter. Mix with spoon until well blended and coarse crumbs form. Sprinkle over unbaked base. Sprinkle nuts over top.
Bake at 350ºF for 30 to 33 minutes, or until golden brown and center is set. Cool in pan on cooling rack. Cut into 2-1/4 x 1-1/2-inch bars.
