Makes One 9-inch Pie
8 Servings

Crust
9-inch Classic CRISCO Double Pie Crust
Chocolate Layer
1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
2 tablespoons CRISCO all-vegetable shortening or 2 tablespoons CRISCO Stick
Filling
2 -1/2 cups milk
1 cup peanut butter chips
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 egg yolks, beaten
3 tablespoons unsalted butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped peanuts
Topping
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1-1/2 teaspoons CRISCO all-vegetable shortening


For crust, prepare and bake (see Classic Crisco Pie Crust recipe). Cool.
For chocolate layer, combine 1 cup chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons Crisco in microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 50% (MEDIUM) 2 to 3 minutes or until melted, sitrring after each minute. Stir until smooth. Pour over bottom of cooled baked pie crust.
For filling, combine milk, peanut butter chips, brown sugar, flour and salt in medium saucepan. Cook and stir 2 more minutes. Remove from heat.
Add 1 cup hot filling slowly to egg yolks, stirring constantly. Return to saucepan. Cook and stir 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla; stir until butter melts. Pour over chocolate layer in pie crust. Sprinkle with nuts.
For topping, combine 1/4 cup chocolate chips and 1-1/2 teaspoons Crisco in microwave-safe cup. Microwave at 50% (MEDIUM) 1 to 2 minutes or until melted, stirring after each minute. Stir until smooth. Drizzle over nuts. Cover top with waxed paper. Refrigerate until set.
