| ORANGE YOGURT CAKE |

Two 9-inch layers2/3 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO 1-1/2 cups sugar 3 eggs 1 cup (8 ounces) plain yogurt 1/2 cup orange juice 2 teaspoons grated orange peel 2-2/3 cups all-purpose flour 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 recipe Buttery Cream Frosting Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour two 9-inch round layer pans. Set aside. In large mixing bowl cream Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add yogurt, orange juice and peel, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended, scraping bowl constantly. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into prepared pans. Bake at 350ºF for 35 to 40 minutes, or until golden brown and center springs back when touched lightly. Cool for 5 minutes. Remove from pan. Cool completely. Frost with Buttery Cream Frosting. |
