Makes 3 dozen1 cup CRISCO Shortening 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 1 teaspoon orange extract 1 teaspoon grated orange peel 2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 cup finely chopped pecans Orange Glaze: 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar 1-1/2 tablespoons orange juice Cream Crisco and confectioners' sugar in a bowl. Stir in orange extract, orange peel, flour, salt, and pecans. Wrap dough and chill for 3 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Shape level tablespoons of dough into crescents. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350ºF for 20 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool cookies on racks. For Orange Glaze, stir ingredients together until smooth. Spread glaze over cooled cookies. |
