MOLASSES OATMEAL COOKIES Print E-mail
Makes about 4 Dozen Cookies.

1 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tablespoon light molasses
1 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 -1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups quick oats (not instant or old fashioned)
1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 cup raisins


Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease baking sheet with Butter Flavor Crisco.
Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, molasses, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
Combine flour, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder, cloves and salt. Stir into creamed mixture with spoon until well blended. Stir in oats, nuts and raisins.
Form dough into 1-inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet.
Bake at 350ºF for 11 to 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
