MACADAMIA NUT PIE Print E-mail
Makes 1 (9-inch) pie (8 servings)

Classic CRISCO Single Pie Crust
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 pinch salt
3/4 cup light corn syrup
3 eggs, beaten
2/3 cup macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped


Heat oven to 400ºF.
Combine butter, brown sugar, vanilla and salt in large bowl until well blended. Slowly stir in corn syrup and eggs; mix well. Fold in nuts and pour into unbaked pie crust.
Bake at 400ºF for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350ºF. Continue to bake at 350ºF for an additional 45 minutes or until center is set and firm. Cool to room temperature and serve with whipped cream or ice cream, if desired.
