IVORY CHIP STRAWBERRY FUDGE DROPS Print E-mail
Makes about 2-1/2 Dozen Cookies

2/3 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon strawberry extract
1/2 cup buttermilk *
6 tablespoons pureed frozen sweetened strawberries
1 -3/4 cups all-purpose flour
6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 -1/2 cups white chocolate baking chips


Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease baking sheet with Butter Flavor Crisco.
Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, egg and strawberry extract in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Beat in buttermilk and strawberry puree.
Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed of electric mixer until blended. Stir in white chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking seet.
Bake at 350ºF for 11 to 12 minutes, or until tops spring back when pressed lightly. Remove immediately to cooling rack.

* You may substitute 1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice or vinegar plus enough milk to make 1/2 cup for the buttermilk. Stir. Wait 5 minutes before using.
