| HONEY ORANGE CRESCENT COOKIES |

Makes 3 dozen cookies Prep time: 25 minutes Bake time: 12-16 minutes 3-1/4 cups unsifted all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 teaspoon salt 1-1/2 cups CRISCO Oil 7 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed, divided 1/3 cup sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel 1-1/4 cups very finely-chopped pecans, divided 1/4 cup honey Mix flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, cloves, nutmeg and salt in medium mixing bowl. Set aside. Mix Crisco Oil, 6 tablespoons orange juice concentrate, sugar and orange peel in large mixing bowl. Blend in flour mixture. Stir in 3/4 cup pecans. Cover and refrigerate 2 hours. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Shape chilled dough by scant tablespoonfuls into crescents, each 2-1/2 to 3 inches long. Place about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with fingers to 1/2-inch thickness. Bake at 350ºF, 12 to 16 minutes, or until edges are light brown. Arrange close together on wire rack over waxed paper. Cool. Blend honey and remaining 1 tablespoon orange juice concentrate in small bowl. Drizzle over cooled cookies. Sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup pecans. |
