| GRANOLA AND CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES |

Makes about 4 Dozen Cookies1/2 cup Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 1/2 Butter Flavor Crisco stick 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1 egg 2 tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 -1/4 cups all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 cups granola cereal 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease baking sheet with Butter Flavor Crisco. Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon and salt. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in granola and chocolate chips with spoon. Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto baking sheet. Bake at 350ºF for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly browned but soft in center. Cool 3 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack. |
