| EASY LINZER THUMBPRINTS |

Makes 30 cookies1/2 cup almonds 2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 1 cup Butter flavor Crisco-all vegetable shortening or 1 Butter Flavor Crisco stick 2 teaspoons vanilla extract SMUCKER'S Seedless Red Raspberry Jam Preheat oven to 350ºF. Process almonds in a food processor bowl fitted with steel blade, until fine. Add flour, salt, confectioners' sugar and ginger. Pulse to blend. Pinch Crisco into walnut sized pieces into work bowl. Pulse to blend. Add vanilla and process for 1 minute or until completely blended. Roll 1 tablespoon size balls onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Indent each ball with thumb. Fill each cavity with 1/4-1/2 teaspoon jam. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool completely and store in an air tight container. |
