| DROP SUGAR COOKIES |

Makes 3 dozen cookies1/3 cup CRISCO Oil 1 cup sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla 1 egg 2 -1/2 cups all-purpose flour 3/4 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 cup milk Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease baking sheets lightly. Combine Crisco Oil, sugar, and vanilla in large bowl. Add egg. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until blended. Stir in flour, salt, and baking soda until mixture is smooth. Blend in milk. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto baking sheets. Flatten cookies with bottom of glass dipped in granulated sugar. (Use colored sugar for holiday cookies.) Bake at 400ºF for 6 to 8 minutes or until barely browned around the edges. Avoid overbaking. Remove to cooling rack. Rolled Cookies Chill dough 1 hour or longer. Roll out on lightly floured surface. Cut into desired shapes. Bake as above. Slice and Bake Cookies Shape dough into rolls. Wrap in plastic wrap or foil. Freeze several hours or overnight. Slice. Bake as above. |
