DREAMY CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES Print E-mail
Makes 3 dozen cookies

1 -1/4 cups firmly packed brown sugar
3/4 Butter Flavor Crisco - all-vegetable shortening or 3/4 Butter Flavor Crisco stick
3 eggs, lightly beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 package (4 ounces) German sweet chocolate, melted, cooled
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package (11-1/2 ounces) milk chocolate chips
1 package (10 ounces) premium semisweet chocolate pieces
1 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts


Heat oven to 375ºF. Place sheets of foil on countertop for cooling cookies.
Combine brown sugar, 3/4 cup shortening, eggs and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended. Increase speed to high. Beat 2 minutes. Add melted chocolate. Mix until well blended.
Combine flour, baking soda and salt. Add gradually to shortening mixture at low speed.
Stir in chocolate chips, chocolate pieces and nuts with spoon. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls 3 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375ºF for 9 to 11 minutes or until set. Do not overbake. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove cookies to foil to cool completely.
