DOUBLE DOODLES Print E-mail
Makes about 4 Dozen Cookies

1/2 cup all-vegetable shortening or 1/2 Butter Flavor CRISCO Stick Butter Flavor CRISCO
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided
1/2 cup Jif Creamy Peanut Butter
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 -1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup finely chopped unsalted cocktail peanuts
2 teaspoons cinnamon


Heat oven to 400ºF.
Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, 3/4 cup sugar, Jif Creamy Peanut Butter, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended.
Combine flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
Combine remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Form rounded teaspoonfuls of dough into balls. Roll in cinnamon-sugar mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400ºF for 7 to 8 minutes, or until lightly browned. Cool 2 minutes on baking sheet. Remove to cooling rack.
