4 -1/2 cups party mix or crispy multi-grain cereal 2 tablespoons Butter Flavor CRISCO Shortening or Butter Flavor CRISCO Stick 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1/4 cup peanut butter 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 3/4 cup powdered sugar Measure party mix or cereal and set aside in large mixing bowl. Melt Crisco, chocolate chips and peanut butter together in saucepan on low heat (or microwave on 50% power checking at 1 minute intervals). Remove mixture from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal and mix until all coated. Add powdered sugar to zipper bag; add coated cereal and toss to coat all. Spread double coated cereal onto sheet of wax paper to cool. Pick up coated cereal with hands and store in clean zipper bag. Discard excess sugar. Refrigerate. |
