CRANBERRY ORANGE CAKE Print E-mail
One 13 x 9-inch cake

1/2 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 jar (14 ounces) cranberry orange relish
1/4 cup orange juice
1-1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel
2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 Orange Frosting


Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Set aside.
In large mixing bowl cream Butter Flavor Crisco, brown sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Add cranberry-orange relish, orange juice and peek flour and baking soda. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended, scraping bowl constantly. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally. Stir in walnuts. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake at 350ºF for 30 to 35 minutes, or until golden brown and center springs back when touched lightly. Cool completely. Frost with Orange Frosting.
