Makes about 30 Bars3/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 3/4 Butter Flavor Crisco stick 2 eggs 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 -1/2 teaspoons vanilla 1 teaspoon almond extract 2 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling 1 -1/2 cups milk chocolate big chips Confectioners' sugar Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease 15-1/2 x 10-1/2 x 1-inch pan with Butter Flavor Crisco. Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, eggs, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and almond extract in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Combine flour, baking soda and cinnamon. Mix into creamed mixture at low speed until just blended. Stir in pie filling and chocolate chips. Spread in pan. Bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned and top springs back when lightly pressed. Cool in pan on cooling rack. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cut into 2-1/2 x 2-inch bars. |
