| CHOCOLATE FONDUE |

Makes 1-1/2 cups1/3 cup whipping cream 1 -1/2 teaspoons grated orange peel 3 tablespoons Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 3 tablespoons Butter Flavor Crisco stick 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips 2 tablespoons orange extract, divided Pound cake or angel food cake Strawberries Kiwis, peeled and sliced Pears, sliced Bananas, sliced Peeled orange segments Bring whipping cream and grated orange peel to simmer in heavy medium saucepan. Reduce heat to low. Add Butter Flavor Crisco, chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon orange extract; whisk until mixture is smooth. Remove fondue from heat and blend in remaining 1 tablespoon orange extract. Transfer to fondue pot. Place over candle or canned heat bruner. Make sure heat is low. Serve with cake pieces and fruit for dipping. |
