| CHOCOLATE-CHOCOLATE CHIP CAKE |

One 8 x 8-inch cake1/2 cup Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 1/2 Butter Flavor Crisco stick 2/3 cup sugar 2 eggs 1/2 cup SMUCKER'S Chocolate Sundae Syrup 1/4 cup dairy sour cream 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 cup miniature chocolate chips 3/4 teaspoon baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt Confectioners' sugar Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Set aside. In medium mixing bowl blend Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, eggs, chocolate syrup, sour cream and vanilla. Add flour, chocolate chips, baking powder and salt. Beat at low speed of electric mixer until blended, scraping bowl constantly. Beat at medium speed for 1 minute, scraping bowl occasionally. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350ºF for 40 to 45 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely. Sift confectioners' sugar over cake or frost as desired |
