| CHOCOLATE CHIP PECAN SQUARES |

Makes 16 Squares1/2 cup or 1/2 Butter Flavor CRISCO Stick Butter Flavor CRISCO 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 egg 1 tablespoon milk 1 teaspoon vanilla 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 cups milk chocolate chips*, divided 3/4 cup chopped pecans, divided Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan with Butter Flavor Crisco. Combine Butter Flavor Crisco, sugar, egg, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat at medium speed of electric mixer until well blended. Mix in flour at low speed. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup nuts. Spread in pan. Bake at 350ºF for 25 to 30 minutes, or until lightly browned. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips. Wait 5 minutes, or until chips soften. Spread evenly. Sprinkle 1/4 cup nuts over top, if desired. Cool in pan on cooling rack. Cut into 2 x 2-inch squares. *You may substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips for the milk chocolate chips. |
