Makes 32 BrowniesBrownies CRISCO No-Stick Cooking Spray 4 1-ounce squares unsweetened chocolate 3/4 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO Shortening or Butter Flavor CRISCO Stick 2 cups sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla 4 eggs 1 cup flour Dash of salt (mixed with flour) Topping 1 (8-ounce) plus 1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2 eggs 3/4 cup granulated sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla Heat oven to 350ºF. Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with Crisco No Stick Cooking Spray. Place cooling rack on countertop. For brownies, place unsweetened chocolate and Butter Flavor Crisco shortening in large, microwave-safe bowl. Heat at full power for 2 minutes. Stir until mixture is smooth and chocolate is melted. Mix in sugar. Add vanilla, then eggs one at a time stirring well after each addition. Mix in flour and salt, a little at a time, stirring until uniform. Spread in prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes. For topping, place softened cream cheese, eggs, granulated sugar and vanilla in medium bowl. Beat at medium speed until well blended. Pour evenly over top of brownie mixture. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until set. Place on cooling rack. Run spatula around edge of pan to loosen. Cool completely on cooling rack. Cut into 32 bars. |
