One 9-inch pie1 unbaked 9-inch Sour Cream Pastry shell 3/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 jar (15 ounces) applesauce (1-1/2 cups) 1/4 cup Butter Flavor Crisco all-vegetable shortening or 1/4 Butter Flavor Crisco stick 3 eggs Preheat oven to 425ºF. Prepare Sour Cream Pastry as directed, but do not bake. In medium mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, applesauce. Butter Flavor Crisco and eggs. Blend thoroughly with wire whisk. Pour into prepared pastry. Bake at 425ºF for 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350ºF. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes longer, or until center is set. Cool completely. Top with whipped cream, if desired. |
