One 6-1/2 x 13-inch cake4 tablespoons CRISCO all-vegetable shortening 1 cup brown sugar 4 eggs, separated 1 pound honey 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 teaspoon cloves 2-1/2 to 2-3/4 cups all-purpose flour Blend Crisco, sugar, and egg yolks together, then blend in the honey. Sift the dry ingredients together and add slowly. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Pour into pan 6-1/2 x 13 inches and bake in a 350: F oven for 50 minutes. |
