Makes 9 servings.1 cup sifted flour 1 cup cornmeal 3/4 cup wheat germ 1/3 cup sugar 5 teaspoons baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 2 eggs, beaten 1-1/2 cups milk 1/3 cup CRISCO® all-vegetable shortening or 1/3 CRISCO Stick, melted In mixing bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, wheat germ, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Combine the eggs, milk, and melted Crisco. Add to flour mixture, stirring till moistened. Turn into greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 425ºF for 25 to 30 minutes. |
