One coffeecakeRing: 2-1/2 cups Homemade Crisco Quick Bread Mix 1/2 cup milk 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1/3 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 cup seedless raisins 1/4 cup chopped nuts Glaze: 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar 1 tablespoon milk Preheat oven to 375ºF. For Ring, combine Crisco mix and milk in a bowl, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened. Roll out dough to a 14 x 10-inch rectangle on a lightly floured surface. Brush dough with 2 tablespoons melted butter. Combine brown sugar, cinnamon, raisins, and nuts; sprinkle over dough. Roll up as for a jelly roll. Place sealed-edge-down on a lightly greased cookie sheet. Join ends to form a ring; seal. With scissors, make 12 cuts two-thirds of the way through ring at 1-inch intervals. Turn each section on its side. Brush with remaining 1 tablespoon melted butter. Bake at 375ºF for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown. For Glaze, stir sugar and milk together until smooth. Spoon over hot raisin ring. |
