| HERB CHEESE BREAD |

Makes 1 loaf1 recipe Buttery Bread Dough 1 to 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves or dill weed 1-1/2 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese Prepare dough as directed, adding basil and cheese with last addition of flour. After kneading, shape dough into round shape. Place in well-greased 1-quart round casserole. Turn dough over. Slash top with "X" in center. Cover; let rise in warm place until doubled, about 1 hour. (Let dough rise only once.) Preheat oven to 350ºF. Bake at 350ºF for 40 to 45 minutes, or until deep golden brown. |
