| ELVIS'S FAVORITE CORN BREAD |

By Mary Jenkins LangstonElvis's personal chef2 cups cornmeal 1 cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1-1/2 tablespoons granulated sugar 2-1/2 cups buttermilk 3 large eggs, beaten 1/4 cup Crisco Pure Canola Oil Cornmeal CRISCO No-Stick Cooking Spray In a large bowl combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, and sugar; mix well. Stir in the buttermilk, eggs, and Crisco Pure Canola Oil; mix well. Spray a 10-inch non-stick skillet with Crisco Cooking Spray and sprinkle lightly with a little cornmeal. Pour into the skillet and cook over medium heat until golden brown and cooked until a toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean. Enjoy! |
