Makes 10 to 12 medium biscuits2 cups sifted all-purpose enriched flour 1 teaspoon salt 3 teaspoons double-acting baking powder 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk 1/3 cup CRISCO Oil Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Add milk and Crisco Oil; stir just enough to hold dough together. Knead lightly (about 10 strokes) on a well-floured surface. Pat or roll dough about 1/2 inch thick (makes about a 7-inch circle) and cut with a floured cutter. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 425ºF for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown. |
