Prep time: 20 minutes Bake time: 40 minutes Serves 82 cups Homemade Crisco Quick Bread Mix 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons sugar, divided 2 eggs 2/3 cup milk 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups thinly sliced pared apples 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2 cup SMUCKER'S Apricot Preserves Preheat oven to 375ºF. Combine Crisco mix and 1/2 cup sugar in a bowl. Beat eggs, milk, and vanilla extract together with a fork. Add to dry ingredients and stir until well mixed. Spread batter is a greased 8 x 8-inch pan. Arrange apple slices, slightly overlapping, in rows on batter. Blend remaining 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle over apples. Spoon preserves on top. Bake at 375ºF for 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and top is golden brown. Serve slightly warm or completely cooled. Cut into squares. |
