SEASONED SNACK MIX Print E-mail
Makes 10 cups

2/3 cup Butter Flavor Crisco or 2/3 Butter Flavor Crisco stick
3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
3/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
3 cups bite-size rice squares cereal
2 cups round toasted oat cereal
2 cups oyster crackers
2 cups pretzel sticks
1 can (7 ounces) Spanish peanuts
Salt, to taste


Preheat oven to 325ºF. In Dutch oven melt Butter Flavor Crisco. Remove from heat.
Stir in Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, onion powder and cayenne.
Add rice squares and toasted oat cereal, oyster crackers, pretzel sticks and peanuts. Toss to coat. Spread on 12- x 17-1/2- x 1-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 325ºF for 15 to 18 minutes, or until toasted and golden brown, stirring once after 10 minutes. Cool. Store in covered container.
