| HAM BALL APPETIZERS |

Makes about 5 dozen1 egg, beaten 1 tablespoon milk 1 can (5 ounces) water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped 1/4 cup chopped green onion with tops 1 small clove garlic, crushed 1/2 pound ground fully cooked ham 1/2 pound ground pork 1/3 cup CRISCO In a bowl, combine the egg, milk, chopped water chestnuts, onion, and garlic. Add ham and pork and mix thoroughly. Using about 2 teaspoons mixture for each, form into marble-size meatballs. In large skillet, brown slowly on all sides in hot Crisco. Continue cooking till done, shaking skillet to turn meatballs. Keep meatballs hot and serve on wooden picks. |
