| FRENCH FRIED ONIONS |

Makes about 4 servings2 large Bermuda onions 2/3 cup milk 1/2 cup all-purpose enriched flour 1/2 teaspoon salt CRISCO Oil for deep frying Salt Cut cleaned onions into 1/4-inch slices. Separate into rings. Soak onion rings in milk and then dip in flour seasoned with 1/2 teaspoon salt. Fry a few at a time in deep Crisco Oil heated to 375ºF Cook until lightly browned, 2 to 3 munutes. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt. |
